122 Scorer Street benefits from a live-in husband and wife management team who have worked in the care sector with a variety of client groups for over twenty years.
The Manager, Adrian O'Brien is NVQ Level 4 RMA qualified and has several years experience working with people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders in both direct care and management positions.
Rachel O'Brien, Programmes Manager is similarly qualified not only in care but also in nutrition. She has worked with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders for many years in a direct care and supervisory role.
This highly dedicated management team is and is fulfilling a lifelong ambition in creating 122 Scorer Street. They believe in the principles of non-aversive behaviour management, and all staff are trained accordingly. 122 Scorer Street believes in holistic care delivered within a warm and friendly family environment - the perfect setting to enable a service user to be as independent as possible and to practice inter-personal skills in their own home and within the community.
The Staff Team
Raymond (Dickie) Bird Support Staff, has at least 12 years' experience working with and for people with mental health disorders and learning disabilities. He has experience in direct care and middle management.
Mr Christopher W Brown, a retired Chartered Engineer with a diploma in management studies, has 25 years' experience in management. He is employed at 122 Scorer Street as a volunteer to undertake the responsibilities of regulation 26 (visits by registered provider).
Mrs Pam Daykin is Registered Mental Health Nurse, with several years' experience working with and for persons with an autistic spectrum disorder. Pam is employed as a volunteer to support the management team and offer clinical advice.
Raquel Bundock Bank Support Worker, has at least 10 years' experience working with and for people with mental health disorders, autistic spectrum disorders and learning disabilities. She has worked in care homes, hospitals, and in the community.
The Key Worker Role
On admission each service user will be allocated a key worker who will be supported by a co-worker. The key worker will be dedicated to only one service user, and the role will involve them in co-coordinating the achievement of that service user's personal care plan in conjunction with other staff.
The key worker is the service user's internal advocate and should develop a close relationship with them. The key worker will regularly monitor and report on progress. They will be responsible for the preparation of all review material, in collaboration with colleagues, relatives, referring agents and independent advocates, where appropriate.
